Realm of Shadow

Sashi heard the thump. "Hello?" she called out. "Anyone?!"

Kia howled in pain once more. "I think its stuck!" She whimpered loudly, hoping someone would hear her.

Eclipse walked up the castle stairs and heard the screams of pain. He rushed over and saw Reika on the floor and Kia in the room. He quickly tried to wake Reika up before investigating why Kia was in so much pain.

Sashi heard the commotion. "I hope that isn't what I think that is..." she replyed, going towards the voices.

Eclipse couldn't get Reika awake so he went to see Kia. He walked in and realise what was happening instantly. "Umm what do I do?" he asked himself aloud.
He ran over next to Kia, "C'mon Kia hang in there... ummm...push?...push!!"

Kia yipped as pain shot through her spine, finally releasing the first pup. She licked it and sniffed at it, instantly smelling death scent on its fur. She whimpered. Brutis flew in and his eyes grew wide. "Whoa! Who died?" He asked.

Sashi ran up the stairs and saw Reika in the room, and Eclipse next to Kia. She ran over to Reika and barked, "Wake up!" but that didn't work, so she got some water and splashed it onto Reika. She stopped and breathed in the scent of death. Instantly her eyes grew wide.

"What? whats wrong?" Eclipse saw the pup didn't move, "Oh..." He fell silent

Reika yawned and woke up. "Whoa, who died?" She asked, sniffing the air. Kia let out another agonizing wail and Reika isntantly got to her feet and ran around the pillar. "Kia!" She yelled out.

Sashi looked at her paws and tried not to listen. the demon said my friends needed me here... is this it? the thought, looking up. "I think I can help!" she blurted out.

Brutis hopped down next to Kia and licked her head. "Your doing great my mate." He said kindly, pulling the dead pup away. Reika sat down next to Kia's spine. "Then come help us!" Reika yipped kindly yet loudly to Sashi.

Eclipse looked at Reika, "You know how to comfort her better you take my place, i'm not doing a very good job."
Eclipse backed off, completely stunned by the event. He had never seen someone give life, he was only used to watching people take life.

Sashi covered her mouth. It's too late now... she thought. She looked around for the scent. "Well on the way here I came to this room, and in it there was this box..." she said finding the scent and following it to the top of the stairs.

Reika flicked her ears towards Eclipse to show him she had heard then nodded as Sashi left the room. She licked her daughter gently on the side as a spasm of pain shot through her body. "Dont worry... The pain doesnt last... Being a mother is a wonderful experience when they live..." She told her. A small male plopped onto the floor and Brutis licked him clean, pushing him towards Kia's belly.

"I don't mean to break this happy moment but we need to prepare for something big...I think Razors armies are going to storm the castle..." said Eclipse in his usual blunt manner. He looked worried and he sat and cleared his mind. He suddenly felt a huge demon presence not far from the village. "Yes they're coming..."

Brutis looked up. "Thanks for telling us." He said, willing Kia to give birth faster, though knowing he couldnt make it work. "Come on its going to be over soon!" He whispered to her. A final pup plopped onto the ground and Kia licked it clean and pushed her towards her belly. Reika smiled. "Thats the last one." She said, sniffing the air. "Kia smells too much of milk already. It might attract them." She said pushing Kia and the pups into a corner and making them smell of moss and wheat. "Thats better." She said with a smile. "Alrighty, everyone get ready to fight! Brutis, I trust my daughter to you." She said, dashing out of the room.

Eclipse and Reika hopped onto the castle wall where a human like demon was preparing some arrows for her bow. Eclipse stretched onto the wall so he could look over. He saw a small mass of demons infront of him and the guards hastily closing the gates.
The female demon muttered to them. "Well here goes. I knew this day would come, I just hope Razor will be mercifu when we respawn in his prison complex..."
"You don't die?" asked Eclipse
"We're demons we can't die but we regenerate in certain areas, and Razor has built a prison around it..."
"Oh...and anyway don't be so defeatist. We can win this."
She giggled and went back to putting arrows in her holder.

A lone demon came out from the ranks, a messenger looking for Haou. The guards let him in and he went to see Haou.

Sashi returned with a box. She nudged it in front of Reika. "Here, its a sheild, I think..." she said, looking at the iron thing.

Reika went back inside and picked the box up. "A shield huh?" She asked, picking it up. "Here, you use it." She told Sashi.

Eclipse watched eagerly as the messenger was thrown with such force out of the window he landed back in the mass of demons.
"Thats it war has been declared." Eclipse muttered, "Now time to try my new moves..." Eclipse walked over to an area where he could sit and see the enemy.

Sashi looked at the iron thing. "No, you should use it." sashi pushed the sheild back to Reika. "Besides, I brought it for you to use.. Uh, gotta go!" she ran back down the steps, not knowing where to go.

Eclipse cleared his mind once more. His silvery lines etched across his body started to pulsate.

Reika shrugged and grabbed the sheild, walking out of the building and waiting for the demons to attack.

Eclipse watched as he saw the army break through the first gate into the village and he watched the guards fight the soldiers. He started muttering a shadowword and a huge white light came down from the sky and exploded on contact with the ground vaporising all demons that were caught inside. However with his small victory came a consequence...he already felt dizzy from the word.

Reika mumbled under her breath and ran in to check on Kia and the pups.
